BECOMING
In "Becoming," Brofoz explores the intersection of individuality and urban life through bold, stylized oil portraiture. After moving from the wide-open landscapes of Idaho to the dense and diverse streets of London, she became fascinated by the unknown stories behind unfamiliar faces. Her work captures that curiosity — aiming to use illustration as a way to process her new environments. Are they lonely? Are they happy? Where are they going? Where have they come from? In this series, Brofoz uses her commute into Camden as her source of inspiration, re-imagining the lives of daily faces through oil pastel and verbal storytelling.
